8721496000016FormFutura Universal Masterbatches are specifically suited for Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM). You now only need 1 universal masterbatch to color your LFAM projects. Regardless of which thermoplastic you use. FormFutura Universal Masterbatches work with all thermoplastics and thermoplastic processing methods.
Our Universal Masterbatches are supplied in solid pellet form and provide reliable and uniform coloration for all thermoplastics, regardless of the base material used. FormFutura Universal Masterbatches can be applied across all LFAM materials, such as PLA, PETG, PP, PA, and many more. This means one single masterbatch solution for all your LFAM projects. This unique coloring solution will dramatically reduce material complexity, inventory costs, and setup time.
Optimized for Large-Scale 3D Printing & Industrial Throughput
FormFutura Universal Masterbatches combine a high pigment concentration and high color strength with a superior dispersion ratio. This means that you can use lower dosing levels while maintaining intense and uniform color throughout large 3D printed parts.
Compared to conventional masterbatches, this results in:
- Lower masterbatch consumption;
- Reduced risk of color variation in large 3D prints;
- Cost-efficient colorization for your LFAM projects;
- Sustainable, compliant & application-ready LFAM production
Key Features for LFAM Applications using FormFutura Universal Masterbatches
- Supplied in solid pellet form – optimized for LFAM pellet extrusion systems;
- Universal compatibility with all thermoplastics used in LFAM;
- One masterbatch for all materials, simplifying LFAM workflows;
-
UV stabilized for large outdoor 3D printed parts;
- Food contact compliant – for functional and regulated applications;
- Dosing: approx. 0.1% – 5%, depending on opacity; 1% – 3% dosing for solid, opaque coloration in LFAM prints;
- Mixable colors for custom LFAM color development.
Storage and handling
FormFutura Universal Masterbatches for LFAM are considered an inert and stable material under normal storage conditions and do not pose significant hazards. To maintain its quality, and mechanical performance, proper storage practices are essential.
For best results, store Universal Masterbatch in a tightly sealed container within a dry, cool, and well-ventilated environment. Avoid temperatures below 15ºC or above 35ºC. Exposure to direct sunlight or UV light should be avoided to preserve the material’s properties and ensure consistent processing performance over time.
By following these guidelines, manufacturers can safeguard the long-term stability of FormFutura Masterbatches and ensure optimal results during LFAM processing.
