What makes this filament special?

When exploring technical filaments, it can often become quite overwhelming. From very specific product characteristics to deciphering the intended use cases, it can be quite a lot for most.

Here, we are take a look at a PPS (Polyphenylene sulfide) filament with 15% added carbon fibers.

This combination makes for a truly high performance filament with a metal-like look, feel and performance.

Key features of LUVOCOM 3F PPS CF 9938

  • Insoluble: no solvent or chemical is up to the task when dealing with this material.
  • Flame Retardant: with a UL-94 V-0 flame retardant rating, this material is used often in projects that require a high level of fire resistance.

  • Compliant with high caliber standards: with a compliance with  UN-ECE R.118.03,  EN 45545 and EN 45545 (fire behaviour of objects and materials in trains), this material is meant to be used in even the most challenging and demanding projects when it comes to FDM 3D Printing.
  • Texture: the combination of PPS and carbon fibers make for a metal-like texture, which even sounds like the real deal.
