Introducing Pellets: FormFutura LFAM is here!
In this blog, we are introducing you to a brand new chapter in FormFutura's quest for offering the best materials for the most interesting technologies: 3D Printing Pellets for Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM). Find out about the advantages, properties and uses of our extensive range of granulates below!
The advantages of LFAM printing
- Economic considerations: the best choice of technology for high-volume 3D printing due to the lower costs per kg based on the volume ordered.
- Efficiency: with pellets/granulate, you can 3D Print with low handling times due to the material format. No changing of spools or additional diameter control necessary.
- Material variety: LFAM allows for a large variety of different materials and material combinations due to the format. From recycled, heavily filled, materials like our ReForm rPETG GF20 (20% glass fibers) to our EasyFil ePLA in granulate format, the possibilities are nearly endless.
- Consistency: choose FormFutura's 3D printing pellets for their consistent extrusion, flow and reliable layer adhesion.
Current materials available as pellets
- ReForm rPLA - Pellets: a premium, bio-based, post-industrial recycled PLA compound. This material reflects a strong commitment to circular manufacturing and environmental responsibility. It is not only 100% recycled, it is also 100% recyclable and 100% industrially compostable. Another key feature of this material is that it is Food Contact Compliant.
- EasyFil ePLA - Pellets: a premium grade virgin PLA pellet This high performance PLA material delivers exceptional printability, precise detailing, and excellent bed adhesion, with minimal warping. EasyFil ePLA pellets for LFAM reflect a strong commitment to sustainable manufacturing as they are made from renewable, bio-based raw materials. 100% recyclable and industrially compostable. Another key feature of this material is that it is Food Contact Compliant.
- Bulk PETG - Pellets: an ultra transparent, premium grade PETG granulate. This material delivers cost efficient and high volume production capabilities, ensuring consistent quality, durability, and reliability at scale. Bulk PETG provides superior impact resistance, delivering the optimal balance of toughness, thermal stability, and mechanical strength. Another key feature of this material is that it is Food Contact Compliant.
- ReForm rPETG GF20 - Pellets: a high performance material made from 100% post industrial recycled PETG and reinforced with 20% long glass fibers for superior stiffness and strength. This compound offers an exceptional balance of sustainability, stiffness, and printability. Its unique formulation ensures excellent layer adhesion, resulting in a rigid and easy to print material that performs reliably in demanding LFAM environments.
- ReForm rPETG Transparant - Pellets: a premium grade pellet made from 100% recycled post-industrial PETG granulate. This rPETG compound is engineered to combine sustainability with printability and outstanding performance. ReForm rPETG Transparent pellets combine exceptional clarity with outstanding mechanical properties. Another key feature of this material is that it is Food Contact Compliant.
- Centaur PP - Pellets: This advanced material delivers exceptional layer adhesion, resulting in Z strength values that rival injection molded polypropylene. With an elongation at break of nearly 650%, Centaur PP offers a unique combination of flexibility, toughness, and long term durability. As a slightly soft and flexible polypropylene, Centaur PP delivers superior impact resistance and reliable performance. Heat-resistant above 100 °C and lightweight. Another key feature of this material is that it is Food Contact Compliant.
Large, custom part printing
The addition of 3D printing pellets to our range allows for a totally different kind of 3D Printing: a kind that is made to shine with large prints, complex, custom designs and/or high volume production.
