PRODUCTS

Do you produce your materials yourselves?
No, we do not produce our filaments ourselves. We work with one manufacturer who is solely focusing on producing ABS and PLA filaments used for desktop 3D printing. Their production facility is completely set up for extruding 1.75mm and 3mm ABS and PLA thermoplastic filament.
Our manufacturer is located in Germany and they have their own production facility in China, where German engineers are continuously working to produce the best quality filament as possible.

What is your relationship with your manufacturers?
Formfutura only works with one manufacturer – who shares our vision about quality standards and customer service – whose filaments we sell through our webshop. We are also the Dutch distributer for our manufacturer for the Dutch wholesale/retail business.

Do you plan to offer more colours/materials?
We are continuously looking to add new colours/materials.  If there’s a colour, or effects like glow-in-the-dark, or material that you would like us to add to our webshop, we would like to hear about it. Please contact us via our contact form to let us know!

Where can I find more information about your materials?
On the product pages in our webshop you can find high level information about our products. For more detailed information it is best to visit the our materials page on our website.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes, we do offer bulk discounts to companies, educational institutions, retailers/wholesalers and other kind of organisations using large quantities of ABS/PLA plastic filament. Please contact us via our wholesale enquiries contact form and let us know your enquiry. We do have a volume-based  business-to-business discounting pricing scheme available. Please input some information about your organization (incl. your registered tax and business number), the volume of PLA/ABS filament you are generally using, and perhaps something about the projects you are working on in the wholesale enquiries contact form, so we can make you the best offer as possible.

Do you offer custom made quantities?
Yes, it is possible to order custom made quantities.  Our standard quantities are spools of 0.9kg/2lb. For smaller quantities you can always customize this quantity via the cut-length option per meter in our webshop. Please bear in mind that cut-length sizes do not come on a plastic spool. For larger quantities (e.g. 5kg spools) you can always contact us via our contact form.

Our manufacturer can produce the filaments according to your specifications. Please send us your enquiry via our contact form and we will come back to you as soon as possible with respect to the price, volumes, and production- and delivery times.

How can I stay updated on your product offering?
There are 2 common ways to stay up-to-date with respect to our latest materials/colours. You can check our website regularly for new filaments/colours, or you can sign up for our newsletter. Every now and then we will send out a newsletter with announcements about new products, services colours, colour-effects, events and interesting news about desktop 3D printing. We will only send a newsletter when we have something interesting to share with you. We hate spam as much as you do and therefore we will definitely not spam your mailbox! You can always unsubscribe from our newsletter. 


SHIPPING

Which parcel service will handle my order?
Currently all orders will be handled with PostNL.

Do you offer international shipping?
Yes, with PostNL parcel services we can send your items to every country in world.

What are your delivery times?
Under normal circumstances we will always strive to deliver your order to PostNL parcel services within 1-2 working days. Please see our shipping times page for an overview with indicated delivery times per country by PostNL. Once we have delivered your order to PostNL you will receive an email with tracking information from the Track & Trace service from PostNL.

How can I calculate my shipping costs?
Shipping costs are based on the weight and destination of your order. You can estimate the shipping costs for your order in the shopping cart. At the right side underneath the subtotal of your order, you can find a button with “Estimate Shipping & Tax”. After inputting your country details your estimated shipping costs will be calculated. For your reference we have also added an overview the shipping tariffs applied by PostNL per weight and destination on our shipping page. These tariffs are used for the calculations of the estimated shipping costs in the shopping cart.  


RETURNS

Can I return my order, or parts of my order?
The answer to this question is twofold. We sell standard spool-wrapped filaments and cut-length filaments per meter tailored to your specific needs. For unaffected (where “unaffected” means the purchase has never been used or otherwise changed) standard spool-wrapped filaments we do except returns within 14 calendar days. For custom made cut-length filaments per meter we can however not accept returns, as these cut-lengths are specially tailored to a customer’s specific needs. The products are returned at the expense and risk of the customer, unless the delivered goods do not correspond to the goods ordered. Please also read our Terms & Conditions carefully for our complete return policy.

 

PAYMENTS

Which payment methods do you accept?
We currently can accept PayPal payments from PayPal users and Visa/MasterCard payments via PayPal’s payments portal. Everyone with a Visa/MasterCard can make a payment via PayPal’s portal as a guest user. You do not necessarily need a PayPal account.

I have a valid VAT ID number but during checkout the total still includes VAT, how shall I proceed?
The easiest way is to create an account, and after send us an email with your VAT ID. We have to check the validity and after checking we will enable VAT free checkout for your account.

Are you planning to offer other payment methods?
Yes, we do. At the moment we are busy with implementing iDEAL as a payment method for Dutch customers visiting our online store. iDEAL is a uniform payment method for Dutch clients for making secure online payments directly between bank accounts by establishing a direct link with the systems of participating banks. We are continuously looking to improve our customer service and the accessibility of our website and by that means we will also continuously be looking to offer the most commonly used payment methods.
